Requirements and settings for iPhone users
Supported iPhones
The Klearly app supports contactless payments on all iPhones from model XS onward running iOS 16.4 or later. Unfortunately, older models are not supported by Apple for this feature.
Security Required
To use the Klearly app, a security method must be enabled on your iPhone, such as a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. Without this security feature, the app will not work — this is an Apple requirement.
Card Positioning For Contactless Payments
Hold the card against the top of the iPhone, where the NFC chip is located.
If the payment still doesn’t go through, possible reasons include:
- The chip on the card is damaged.
- Contactless payments are not enabled on the card.
In that case, try another card or use the card slot.
Updating The Klearly App
New app versions include important improvements. Make sure you always have the latest version installed.
- Open the App Store on your iPhone.
- Tap your profile icon (top right).
- Scroll down to the Available Updates section.
- Find 'Klearly' in the list and tap Update.
